Condition Details / Information Notes
The proposal, which includes illuminated signage, does not integrate with or reinforce the local distinctiveness of the host building (a non designated heritage asset), and in addition, are out of keeping with and detrimental to the setting of surrounding buildings of local historic interest. As such proposal would have a detrimental impact upon the surrounding historic environment and be therefore contrary to Policies SWDP 6, SWDP 21, SWDP 24 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan, Policy NCLE2 of the North Claines Neighbourhood Plan, and the relevant aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework, in particular Section 16.

Positive and Proactive Statement. In dealing with this application, the Council has worked with the applicant in the following ways: - Seeking amendments to the proposed development following receipt of the application In such ways the Council has demonstrated a positive and proactive manner in seeking solutions to problems arising in relation to the planning application. This is in accordance with paragraph 38 of the NPPF.  Despite these efforts, the Council still consider that planning permission should be refused for the reasons set out above.
