The proposed works would be to the detriment of the natural shape, form and flow of the tree's canopy, and therefore to public amenity
Unnecessary tree works should be avoided to minimise the chances of detrimental impacts on the tree's vascular system, potentially leading to the ingress of harmful pathogens and decay
Unnecessary tree works should be avoided to minimise the chances of the ingress of harmful pathogens and decay, or the activation of latent pathogens or decay fungi
Although it is recognised the tree is large and imposing in this garden. This issue would be more appropriately mitigated by reducing the canopy back to just past previous pruning points. This would reduce the tree's imposition in this space and remove decay located at historic pruning points.
