| The proposal represents unsustainable residential development in the open countryside, outside a development boundary. The development would not minimise demand for travel, nor offer genuinely sustainable travel choices and future occupiers of the development would be reliant on the use of the private car to access facilities and services. Accordingly, the proposals are contrary to Policy SWDP2 and SWDP 4 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and the relevant aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework. |
| The proposed development would erode the open, rural character of the south side of Lower Lane, which positively contributes to the setting of the Kinsham Conservation Area and nearby listed buildings including Trueblue Farm, the Barn at Trueblue, Corner Cottage and Manor Farmhouse. The development would lead to less than substantial harm to the significance of these heritage assets and this harm, would outweigh any wider benefits of the proposal. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies SWDP 6, SWDP 21, SWDP 24 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and the relevant aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework, particularly Sections 12 and 16. |
