Condition Details / Information Notes
The proposal represents unsustainable residential development in the open countryside, outside a development boundary. The development would not minimise demand for travel, nor offer genuinely sustainable travel choices and future occupiers of the development would be reliant on the use of the private car to access facilities and services. Accordingly, the proposals are contrary to Policy SWDP2 and SWDP 4 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and the relevant aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
The proposed development would erode the surviving agrarian setting to the village and nearby listed building Yew Tree House and would fail to form a logical complement to the existing grain, character and local distinctiveness of the village. As such, the proposed development would conflict with Policies SWDP2, 21 and 25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and the development would lead to less than substantial harm to the significance of Yew tree House and this harm, would outweigh any wider benefits of the proposal. The proposal is therefore also contrary to Policies SWDP 6 and SWDP 24 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and the relevant aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework, particularly Sections 12 and 16.
